Dr. Gertsen received his B.A. from Johns Hopkins University, and his M.D. from the University of Maryland. His post graduate training was completed at Johns Hopkins Hospital. His special medical interests are sports medicine and general orthopaedic surgery.

Dr. Gertsen is retired from private practice as of January 1, 2006. Orthopaedic Associates is grateful for his many years of service to the community.
